"Visiting times on the website"

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital

(as a service user),

Hi,

This page says it gives visiting times.

https://www.nlg.nhs.uk/hospitals/grimsby/wards/

It doesn’t. The problem (of having no visiting times) is the same for every ward I checked.

If you follow the link, you will find that none of the wards have visiting times listed.

So I don’t think any one ward is responsible.

This means that every visitor to every ward needs to ring up to ask visiting times before their first visit.

This must add up to an incredible waste of staff time and NHS money and resources.

A simple solution would be to just put the visiting times where you say they are…

Hopefully this comment is useful to you.

Good Afternoon

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our Website. I fully understand your comments and they are very useful.

It is possible by clicking a Ward and following a further link you are able to access our generic visiting times, however I appreciate this is quite the lengthy process.

I have discussed your comments with our Communications Team who will view the Website from a visitors perspective.

I would also add that we are in the process of reviewing our Visitor policy and framework so a further announcement, and hopefully improved understanding of visiting times, should be available in the next few weeks.

Again, thank-you for taking the time to contact us - it really is appreciated.

Kind regards

Simon Treacher

Good Morning

The Trust has now implemented a planned change in its visiting and the staff have a new Visiting Framework for guidance.

We have extended our visiting times to 11AM-8PM in most areas and published the new visiting changes on our website.

This should alleviate the previous difficulties you experienced when accessing the website for information. It is also an exciting time as we welcome extended visiting and we will monitor this for improvements in patient care, communication and overall patient and visitor experience.

Once again thank-you for your original post.

Kind regards

Simon Treacher
