"Lack of support, information and continunity of care"

About: Community Mental Health Services / CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services) Falkirk

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter has been picked up by camhs in hospital following a suicide attempt. We had 2 meetings whilst she was an inpatient then followed up at Stirling for 2 further appointments. We were told my daughter would be tested for adhd/asd and were prescribed melatonin to assist with sleep.

After that I contacted camhs regarding melatonin not working and it was changed quickly. I contacted them again stating it still wasn't working the following week and was told my daughter was no longer under camhs and would need to be re-referred. I was shocked as no one told us. I called back later to be told that wasn't correct I was no longer under camhs which is supposedly only for the critical period? Yet my daughter was self harming in new ways, should she not be still critical. Is that continuity of care?

No one explained the process and now I have no contact with anyone within camhs so when I've been phoning for the last 6-8 weeks to get melatonin prescription changed I'm being ignored and we are stuck in limbo with no support.

She was to attend decider skills but didn't click with the member of staff she got so I phoned to say she didn't want to attend and was not offered a different person I was told it would be noted as non compliance.

So here we are with a 13 year old child that is self harming, not attending school because she is not entitled to any support from the school as she has no diagnosis. The educational psychologist will not even look at her. She is awake to 4am every morning, constantly tired, and missing out on everything and that is struggling with daily life.
