"Getting my teeth out"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

(as a service user),

I had to go and get my teeth out and I was very worried getting this done. A lot of people where involved in my care to make sure everyone who was involved understood my worries and how best to help me because I have autism. My mum told them all about me and what I like and don't like. I don't like visiting hospitals.

On the day of my surgery I went to the kids hospital ward 1d and they did everything we spoke about to make sure my stay was how I expected it to be.

I felt safe and not stressed. All the staff where lovely to me made me feel happy

Dear Girl with the blue hair

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of attending Ward 1D of the Royal Hospital for Children

It was great to hear how the staff took the time to make sure you felt comfortable and relaxed prior to your procedure. Hospitals can be a daunting place at the best of times so to hear the staff were able to put you and your mum's mind at ease was very comforting.

I'm glad your procedure went well and you went home happy afterwards.

Kind regards

Kevin
