I had a knee replacement and was a little concerned that my wound was infected, so I called my doctor and the district nurse visited that same day, she changed my dressing, advised me to contact the doctor and tell them to issue me some antibiotics at her suggestion and she arranged for a second visit to change my dressing the following week.
Ultimately I had 3 people visit (2 visits, as one was a trainee) all of the nurses, were lovely, chatty, reassuring and caring.
I just thought you often get negative feedback, but my experience was extremely good.
