About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / Male Medical

(as the patient),

As I had to wait in a corridor outside A&E for over 24 hours I was extremely anxious and relieved to get a bed in Male Medical - I know the NHS is under a lot of pressure at the minute, but when you are feeling unwell every minute waiting feels like a hour.

When I was admitted to this ward I was greeted by an extremely polite and helpful nurse who introduced theirself and immediately alleviated my fears.

So far everything has been very good, the food menu is a bit repetitive, but it is warm and plentiful.  Sometimes I would like if visitors could be kept to a minimum as it can be quite hard to get to sleep with the noise as some patients could have up to 5 visitors at a time.

Good Morning,

First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to leave a review on your stay on Male Medical.

I am delighted to hear that you were welcomed to the ward and are happy with the care you are receiving.

I appreciate your comments on visiting. I am sorry that during your stay around your bed space has been crowded. The ward tries to ensure there are only two visitors at each patients bedside at any time. I will address this with the staff on the ward.

I wish you a speedy recovery and all the best in the future.

Sharon
