"If only other hospital appointments could be allocated at the weekends"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as the patient),

I was allocated an X-Ray appointment at PRI for my shoulder and was surprised but pleased it was on a Saturday. I can't tell you what a difference this meant to me as I didn't need to take time off work.

Because it was a Saturday, there were plenty of parking spaces so I didn't struggle to park. The X-Ray department was very quiet and I sat for about 30 seconds before I was called to go for my X-Ray. The radiologist allowed me to stay clothed which meant I didn't have to wear a hospital gown and I was in and out in about a minute.

If only other hospital appointments could be allocated at the weekends, what a difference it would make to patients, most specifically for parking also just the whole thing being less stressful and much swifter.

Dear Violetmg99,

Thankyou for posting this great response regarding your experience in Perth Radiology Department.

We are moving more of our services to a seven day model to ensure we can cope with increasing demand, but we cant give all patients weekend slots or timescales that suits them, albeit we endeavour to try.

I will ensure this post is shared within the team, as staff really appreciate positive, constructive feedback.
