"Acknowledged and supported"

About: Community Mental Health / Adult Psychological Therapies

(as the patient),

Having been a victim of a traumatic crime at work in 2011, I did not seek help and dealt with rising issues with anxiety and depression.

Last autumn, a close family member got a cancer diagnosis and I suddenly found my life became very difficult, I was constantly in flight or fight mode, couldn't sleep, couldn't leave the house and was regularly disassociating.

I have finally sought treatment for my PTSD, I have regular sessions and feel acknowledged and supported.
