I have had the contraceptive implant for many years now and I was due for a replacement. I have lived in a few different areas and been to different practices for this but it's still always a daunting experience. I had some trouble with the self referral on the website but Donna was able to help me out quickly and emailed the form for me to fill in. My appointment was today but because of the weather there is a lot of flooding in the area. I wasn't sure if my appointment would still go ahead or if the place was even open and the phone is only answered 3 days a week. I emailed again and Rachel was quick to respond with information about the condition of the roads in the area and offered me the option to continue with today or reschedule. I chose to continue. I met Una when I arrived and she carried out my procedure. She is absolutely lovely and made sure I was well informed of what happens during and after. I felt completely comfortable and at ease with her and I left very happy.

Thank you for taking the time to send feedback re your recent experience with Contraception Service in SHSCT.

It is great to hear that the staff who contacted you promptly & whom you met Donna, Rachel & Oonagh were all looking after your welfare & were quick to respond to your query. Although the weather was inclement and Storm Ciaran was making travel plans tricky Rachel was able to advise you about the conditions around the clinic site to help you decide if it was safe to travel.

We do have limited phone access but have tried to eradicate this by implementing a new QR code for self referral into Contraception Service.

It is good you felt at ease, comfortable and well informed during your procedure.

I will pass on your lovely comments to our staff who no doubt will be smiling when they hear these.
