"I was so impressed with how patient and reassuring they were"

I went up to Manchester for a work event. The evening got very carried away and I blacked out. I woke up in the morning with blood in my anus. I had no recollection  and was very upset and scared. I knew I had to attend the sexual health clinic, but I just felt so embarrassed and ashamed. I initially called up SARC and they linked me to Exeter sexual health clinic.

I got an appointment the next day. I was still very upset and confused. I would burst into tears at any moment. When I went there, I met some really wonderful staff who were kind, compassionate and non judgement. They were all so supportive and gentle with me. It felt a bit weird having to do some of the procedures and it made me feel dirty.. but they were so reassuring and trustworthy. I was so impressed with how patient and reassuring they were. I can't thank them enough.

They followed up my commencement anti viral medication by calling me a couple of days afterwards. They got back to me within 10 days of my results. They have continued to be so understanding and nice. We are all so lucky to have such a fantastic sexual health clinic in Exeter!
