"I felt treated with high respect and care."

I was referred to Raigmore Sexual health clinic for a Merina coil fitting. I already struggle badly with anxiety and had a previous difficult and painful experience making me more nervous about the pain that might come.

The Doctor let me talk it out and reassured me along with the nurse present. Even though I knew it was not going to be pleasant I felt really cared for and had the procedure explained to me and the nurse talked to me throughout the fitting. I had been appointed the most experienced Doctor to help with my particular issue which already eased me pre appointment. The doctor also told me I could phone with any problems or questions after my app. 

I did have to go back as I was in pain a month after and saw a different but equally highly professional happy to help nurse.  Again I was seen very quickly, Quick check that it was all in place and a big explanation of how it all works again. 

I went away reassured and told again to phone if needed. 

I just feel that the staff at the clinic are so aware in such a delicate area of health of all of the different worries and feelings a woman can have and therefore I felt treated with high respect and care. I won't be as frightened attending the clinic for future re fitting or removal. Thanks to the staff at Raigmore Sexual Health clinic.
