My 91year dad was quickly referred to the TIA clinic in SWAH by his GP Doc Cathcart and within the week he was called. Feeling nervous we attended and were immediately put at ease by Shelia the Stroke Specialist Nurse. She was so patient in getting all the information she required and took dad through each step of the process (a full Mot) and ensured before we left we understood everything. She was also a mentor for Grace who I can imagine has learnt so much from her. Dr Elamin was also friendly, so professional at explaining everything and put dads mind at rest. The staff in the Radiology department were all so caring.
The Western Trust does not get enough recognition for all the professional caring staff, vital clinics and essential services we have on our door step in this rural part of Northern Ireland. Thank you is not enough but we really appreciate all your support.
