"Weight management"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Community Services / Dietetics

(as a service user),

I was referred at my request to the weight management program. A company which does work for the health board, runs the program for D&G NHS. It took a lot to ask for the help and I was quite looking forward to getting started.

I can honestly say it was the most difficult and frustrating experience. Texts, emails and phone calls asking to download app. which I did. Then asking to log on but i emailed back explaining there was no option to log on. I then received codes to access which made no difference. I tried calling but couldn't get through and was on hold for 10 minutes but couldn't wait any longer. I eventually sent another email and got a response and a call to say i would get an appointment.

While waiting on the appointment I removed app, downloaded again and tried multiple times to log on but without success. I then had my call which was more of a questionnaire. I then received an email asking me to log on again and an email with another questionnaire. By this time I had answered questions 3 times. I then waited on my next apt and did not receive a call. I then had an email to say my apt would be the following day which was wrong as I was working. I emailed back again. The long and short of it is, I have found this is a disaster. Then a letter went to my GP to say I had been discharged as I didn't engage - frustrated and furious does not cover it.
