My dad is having a severe bipolar mania episode who is engaging in risky behaviour and not complying with his medication - GP and practitioner saw this in evidence. It was made clear he is a vulnerable adult due to his self neglect and mental health crisis - he was only given a 2 day instead of a previously told 3 day assessment and discharged back to his GP. When assessed on the first day the crisis team member who saw him told me there is evidence he is not taking the meds he should be yet have completely fobbed him off back to GP. Last time he was manic the same happened, no one would help and he lost his eyesight in one eye due getting assaulted because of his risky behaviour when manic.
