My elderly father recently spent 2 months in Ward 2, Crieff community hospital recovering from Covid delirium. We were so impressed with the compassionate care he was given at all times.
Ward 2 has a calm atmosphere and the sense of a well-run ship. We were always able to communicate with staff and Senior Charge Nurse, Craig, even facilitated the use of a laptop to enable my father to communicate with my elderly mother at home.
The ward Consultant, Dr Beveridge, always kept me informed of my father's condition and discussed his care with me in a clear and kind manner.
We also greatly appreciated the considerate, efficient support that Martyna, the social worker, gave us and the OT and physio input to improve my father's mobility.
We were able to celebrate my parent's 62nd wedding anniversary on the ward and we will not forget the kindness of the healthcare assistants who set the tea up for us and gave them a card.
I am sorry I cannot mention everyone by name, but we will always be grateful to each and every one of the team members on Ward 2.
