"My elderly father"

About: Community Physiotherapy / South Perthshire Community Physiotherapy Crieff Community Hospital / Community In-Patient Wards Crieff Community Hospital / Integrated Discharge Hub South Locality Occupational Therapy / Community Rehabilitation (South)

(as a relative),

My elderly father recently spent 2 months in Ward 2, Crieff community hospital recovering from Covid delirium. We were so impressed with the compassionate care he was given at all times.

Ward 2 has a calm atmosphere and the sense of a well-run ship. We were always able to communicate with staff and Senior Charge Nurse, Craig, even facilitated the use of a laptop to enable my father to communicate with my elderly mother at home.

The ward Consultant, Dr Beveridge, always kept me informed of my father's condition and discussed his care with me in a clear and kind manner.

We also greatly appreciated the considerate, efficient support that Martyna, the social worker, gave us and the OT and physio input to improve my father's mobility.

We were able to celebrate my parent's 62nd wedding anniversary on the ward and we will not forget the kindness of the healthcare assistants who set the tea up for us and gave them a card.

I am sorry I cannot mention everyone by name, but we will always be grateful to each and every one of the team members on Ward 2.

Dear Fe1232,

Thank you very much for your lovely comments.

As a whole team, it is always our aim in Crieff Community Hospital to go the extra mile to accommodate all of the needs of our patients, and their relatives.

If we can make our patients' stay as comfortable as possible, and as person-centred as we can, it hopefully helps to ease the worries of loved ones at home.

On behalf of the team, your comments are very much appreciated.

Thank you.

What great feedback to the teams in CCH. Many thanks for taking the time to let us know about your and your father's experience.

As expressed by Craig, we do try to make everyone's stay in hospital positive, fruitful and stress-free.

I will feed back to the physiotherapy team about your kind comments.

Many thanks
