"My mum's treatment by NHS staff"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiology & Coronary Care Unit Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

Just to let all of you beautiful people know that my wee ma suffered another heart attack this morning at home and again whilst in the ambulance going through to the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh.

She was met at the main door by two surgeons and went straight into theatre where she had an angiogram carried out and a stent fitted to a lower blood vessel, saving her life. She is now recovering in the Royal.

I want to take this opportunity on behalf of my family and I to thank all of the NHS staff who helped my mum today - from the paramedics, to the nurses, to the doctors, to the surgeons and indeed to all of the pleasant NHS staff that we interacted with today.

You people, irrespective of your position, were polite, courteous, professional, caring and most of all outstanding at what you do and for that we say thank you xxxx

And to all of my beautiful friends can I please ask that when you next encounter a member of our brilliant NHS, please take the time to say thank you for all of the great work that they do xxxx

Dear fluteqe56

Thank you for taking the time to post your Feedback here on CareOpinion. I am really sorry to hear about your mum and can fully appreciate how much of a difficult and worrying time this has been for you all. However your mum sounds like a very strong lady indeed which I'm sure has helped her get through this ordeal. I really hope she is recovering well at The Royal Infirmary.

If you would like us to pass on your thanks to our staff, I can certainly arrange this for you. As all posts are anonymous, the only way we would be able to identify the staff would be if you contacted our team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your mum's name and address along with your Careopinion user name and I will do this for you.

Finally, from all if here at The Scottish Ambulance Service, we wish you and your mum all the very best

Kind Regards
Lesley
