"Emergency dental care"

About: NHS Grampian / GDENS (Grampian Emergency Dental Service)

(as a service user),

My 9 year old granddaughter had an abscess in her mouth. We had an appointment with the dentist and she removed her baby tooth.

She was on the waiting list for sedation to get this done as she is petrified of needles.

The dentist we visited at GDens Aberdeen was brilliant and managed to keep her calm and spoke to her in a soothing way. She managed to give her local anaesthetic and extra tooth.

She explained what she was doing every step of the way.

Thank you for being so kind. This abscess would have continued to plague my grandaughter for months.

Dear taurusbc63

I am sorry to hear of your grand-daughters abscess in her mouth, this must have been a horrible time not only for your grand-daughter but for the family too. I hope she is feeling much better now.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience of our services and pleased your grand-daughter was made to feel relaxed and had confidence in the staff to allow them to remove her tooth.

We are very proud of our Out of Hours Dental Team and they will be delighted to hear your feedback which I will pass on to those working at the weekend.

Kind Regards

Susan - Gdens Administration Manager
