"The kindness and compassion will stay with me forever"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I was taken care of by 3 lovely midwives named Kathryn, Nicole & Stacey. My waters had broken but I didn’t go into labour naturally, meaning I was induced.

After 14 hours of labour (which I really enjoyed because the girls were so kind and provided such personal one to one care), I was rushed for an emergency c-section.

The process was a blur and ended up being quite traumatic for me, however what will stay with me forever is the kindness and compassion shown by the midwives and the midwifery support workers on the central delivery suite and the M1 maternity ward at DRI women’s hospital.

My beautiful son arrived safe and sound, and I will remember that day and the incredible health care professionals for ensuring I got the best gift for the rest of my life.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at Doncaster Royal Infirmary with us and congratulations on the arrival of your son. I am so pleased to read how happy you were with the care you received.

I will share your kind feedback with the maternity team who I’m sure will be extremely grateful.

Thank you for sharing!

Best wishes,

Laura
