"I shouldn’t have to explain why or how I deal with pain"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

Went in for a termination recently, went semi ok, had bad cramping all week and called up a few times. Got told it was normal! Skip to five days later  I started bleeding heavily so eventually got into the hospital to be told I have an option to go home, I chose to stay in and wait for a scan as my history isn’t good with bleeding, I cannot clot well.

After the weekend I was scanned the next day was in having an operation to fix the issue. I was right in staying in as I did haemorrhage whilst under, which I wasn't told to begin with.

On top of this I had I was made to feel uncomfortable by the comments of 3-4 nurses. One of them even queried why I was still here, all because I was walking around as laying down made all the pain worse but I shouldn’t have to explain why or how I deal with pain.

According to the nurse I shouldn't have stayed over the weekend but had I come home and bled out what would have happened then?
