My appointment recently was at Cannock Hospital on the Holly Bank ward for minor surgery to release the tendons in my hand which was causing trigger finger. This was carried out by Mr Raine and his fantastic theatre staff under local anesthetic. I was to arrive at the ward for 07:00am and on doing so I was met with a crowd of people queuing at the ward doors. The efficiency shown by the ward staff in dealing with the patients was tremendous as they were shown to their individual rooms for booking in and preparation.
Every single member of staff with whom I had the pleasure of meeting was a credit to the hospital. The care shown to me, pre, during and post op could not have been improved upon. It is experiences such as mine which serve to reinforce the need to keep our excellent NHS thriving and for us as a society to do anything we can to ensure it continues.
Thanks warmly
