"Lack of communication is shocking."

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Physiotherapy

(as the patient),

I put a form in for physiotherapy in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital physio department in Feb 2023 and I'm still awaiting an appointment.

My daughter enquired about this today and was told I was given a appointment in letter by post.

I did not receive this letter, therefore I'm still in same position and I now have to fill another form in due to in my opinion, the incompetence of the referral team.

Lack of communication is shocking.

Dear Househill

Thank you for your feedback and please accept my apologies that you did not receive the letter requesting you to contact us to arrange an appointment. The Physiotherapy Team are currently looking at implementing digital ways to communicate with our patients which will hopefully help with the postal issues we can experience and avoid this happening again. In the meantime, if you would like to get in touch with your personal details (name and date of birth), we can provide you with an update. If you can email PatientExperience@ggc.scot.nhs.uk, it would be helpful if you could include your Care Opinion username.

Thank you

Nicole
