Anything else?
I was admitted to the A&E dept on Friday 23rd August - the start of the Bank Holiday weekend.I arrived by ambulance with the paramedics who were fantastic & also managed to find the remote farm where I was staying.I was suffering from a kidney stone. I was admitted to the surgical referral unit later that evening. The staff were very kind & kept me informed about when the doctors would be available to see me.My very severe pain was well managed. I had surgery on the Sunday morning - the hospital was very busy however during my wait for an operation I was reassured by the staff that everything would be alright . The procedure I had enabled me to travel home later in the week for more treatment . Everyone from the axillary staff ,nurses & doctors were very kind. However I did feel that the 2 male nurses that covered one of the night shifts on what was predominantly a female ward were perhaps not as caring & attentive as they should have been .I do realise it was a busy time for the hospital.
"Thankyou !"
