About: New Victoria Hospital / Out-of-hours GP service

(as a service user),

I had to access the GP out of hours service at the New Victoria, at the weekend. I was apprehensive and exhausted with no idea of what was wrong with me. However, after an assessment via NHS24, I was referred to out of hours, was seen very quickly and Dr Emma was fantastic. She listened to my symptoms, gave me sound advice and was the most person centred, caring and helpful doctor I have ever seen. She could not have made the experience better and I came away feeling so positive.

I can fully appreciate your apprehension prior to attending the New Victoria GP Out of Hours Service. Hospitals can be a daunting place at the best of times so to hear you felt fully supported by the staff was very heart warming.
