"I want to thank the team so much for the great care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I called the crosshouse maternity unit throughout the night for advice on the pains I was experiencing as I was 39 weeks pregnant. I spoke to a lovely midwife who asked me to come up to the hospital to get checked out as we weren’t sure if I was in labour or not.

I was greeted by a midwife Chloe who was really nice and made me feel at ease. It turned out I was in active labour and was taken to the midwifery suite where I met another midwife Kirsten who delivered my daughter in the early morning.

She was absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t have done it without her. She made myself and my husband feel so comfortable and she was so calm and reassuring.

I want to thank the team so much for the great care we received throughout our short stay.
