"I have more understanding of why I feel the way I do."

About: Community Forensic Services / Nottinghamshire MBT Service

(as a service user),

The MBT group has helped me become more confident and I’m more aware of mine/other people’s feelings. I have more understanding of why I feel the way I do.

In terms of anything I would change, I would have liked to have more group members from the start. Both Amy and Tom (facilitators) have been amazing, so kind and understanding.

Thank you for this post and sharing your experiences. I am pleased you have found the group helpful in your own personal development and I hope you continue to practise mentalizing.

I will pass on your lovey comments about the facilitators, it's good you found them understanding as they are such an important part of therapy journey.

I appreciate your comments about the size of the group and I'm well aware of how the group is where the work is done so a good size group is an important part of this. I know that the team are working hard with our colleagues in mental health services to support service users to more easily access therapy so I hope this will start to have positive impact on group size in areas where this is occurring.

Wishing you all the best for your future.

Best wishes, Louisa Hagan (Service Manager)
