Anything else?
This place has been one disaster after another. I've had a swelling in my abdomen since about 2008 and my condition is still slowly deteriorating along with my mental health and quality of life. Firstly, I managed to convince my doctor to book me in for an ultrasound. The referring letter specifically requested to visualise the abdomen for abnormalities. But no! The radiographer decided to do "her own thing". Even when I pointed out the objective, this only aided in rattling her even further. Even simple requests like being able to see the screen whilst images were being taken seemed to bring out psychotic episodes. Secondly, I later managed to convince my doctor to refer me to a specialist in the Gastro Dept. all seemed well to start off with. After returning from X-ray, I was presented with an X-ray where the colon was the brightest object in the entire abdomen. Even brighter than the bone matter itself! At this point, one would assume that you have the wrong X-ray. Again, but no! You could see by the look on his face and reaction that it was the complete wrong X-ray. Did he request the correct one? No, he just continues to use it to make a diagnosis of my condition with someone else's X-ray! Needless to say I requested to see another "consultant". They were even worse than the previous. The next five minutes, he repeats his diagnosis over and over but by varying his sentences with added emphasis. To cut a long story short, I've been on double does laxatives for over a year.
