"Awful"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

Kept getting ignored. Left on an empty IV for hours at a time. No communication at any point. Came in to A and E, was initially told I'm getting antibiotics to go home with then quickly this changed to an overnight stay. At no point was I given any indication of how long I would be staying, turns out I was in for 2 weeks, I inly found this out 9 days into my stay. The food was awful to the point it was unsafe to eat. I was forgotten about sitting on an empty IV for hours at a time almost every day and if I pressed the help button often either no one would come for a good 30-45 minutes or someone would tell me they'll get a nurse and no one would turn up for an hour. I was stuck in a room with no windows for 2 weeks. The light doesn't turn off so I had to try and sleep in the light and when I did get to sleep I got woke up daily between 4am and 5am by staff slamming doors. When I asked why they we're slamming doors they initially said they weren't and then changed it to "it's the storage room, it has to stay locked" which didn't answer anything. Also at one point I was meant to go for an MRI but at the last minute I was informed they'd gone on strike so I never got one.
