"Left without GP care"

About: GPs in Oxfordshire

(as a service user),

I requested reasonable adjustments on account of my disability and difficulties with accessing services by phone. These were declined. I contacted the practice manager to make a formal complaint in the hope that my reasonable adjustments could be met. Again the answer was no. I was told I could change GP practice but was also told by the practice I could change to that I was not able to change to them from my GP practice due to an agreement.

I am now left without a GP that I can contact while going through the health ombudsman. I’m really struggling to cope and my mental health has gone downhill significantly.  I can’t wait for this as have health needs that need to be met. I would have the option of self referral to physio, however again the company providing that require phone calls. So yet more disability discrimination.
