"Respite stay and care"

Our son has regular breaks at the unit, he appears to enjoy his time there, staff are always pleasant and helpful.

On my last visit, which was last week, I spoke to the staff as usual, they asked me if I had been shown around the unit, which I hadn't, I was shown several bedrooms, unoccupied of course, I was greatly impressed not only by the large rooms but also the bright and calming decor.

As his dad it had a very positive effect.

I also spoke to the unit manager, we discussed various things, staffing, one of the important aspects to myself is familiar faces in the unit, I see many regular members of staff, very important.

The manager presented as someone who cares not only about her clients but also the staff, I was given a photograph of our son attending a fair in Stenhousemuir along with his carer Martin, brilliant to see, I have the impression of a forward thinking manager, I can see the formation of an excellent respite unit
