I joined Lanarkshire Weight Management group in May along with 6 other ladies.
We were introduced to our Dietitian's Laura & Naomi who would be taking us through our journey. I have just finished doing 16 weeks with Laura which is every 2 weeks. Throughout the 16 weeks i have learned many things and have lost some weight and my blood pressure has came down dramatically. I would have preferred to do the group every week as i feel 2 weeks between groups you can forget what you learned and what you have achieved.
I have learnt so much throughout my time with Laura & Naomi and i feel it has definitely changed my view on what i eat and what foods help me to lose weight. I especially enjoy the exercise part with Jenny as i haven’t exercised for a lot of years and i found it has been beneficial to my health and to help me achieve a good fitness level. From where i started in May till now mid August i have found that my progress is improved so much. I am less breathless and can walk a little bit further without having to stop. I am looking forward to the next half of my sessions with Naomi for Maintenance and David for the exercise part. This Weight Management Group has definitely helped me to lose weight and to get fitter. I will continue to work towards getting all my weight off and keeping my fitness levels up and it is all thanks to what i have learned from Laura, Naomi and Jenny.
