"Elevator & Parking situation"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow

(as a service user),

11 floors in the Bute Section with 3 lifts but only 1 of them working over the week I visited. Absolutely shocking, in my view. Parking is free if and when you locate a space. Otherwise hospital is lovely, as are staff

Dear Exhausted Female

Thank you for sharing your feedback and I am glad that you found the staff and hospital lovely.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by the lifts being out of order. I can confirm that two of the lifts are now working and that we are currently waiting for parts for the 3rd lift which are expected this week. We try to resolve issues with the lifts as quickly as possible as we know how disruptive this is to our patients, their families and our staff.

Parking at our hospital sites can be challenging during periods of high activity, and so we have reintroduced managed parking controls. During peak times we operate a fair usage policy of a maximum stay of four hours for patient and visitor spaces, this is to try to make it easier for people to get parked.

Best wishes

Nicole
