ICO have recently introduced a service where you can WhatsApp to ask for advice, repeat prescriptions, request an appointment etc. I've found it really helpful and much faster and easier than calling and waiting for ages on hold!
One time, I had a chat via WhatsApp message and they sent a prescription straight to the pharmacy.
When needed, I've always been given an appointment within a couple of days, sometimes the same day using the WhatsApp chat. Love it.
