Anything else?
The treatment and all aspects of my operation etc was the best anyone could ask for. But the location of the hospital makes it very difficult to get to from either a bus or train and worse still when one has an appointment at 8am. I am 71 living alone also living on just an aged state pension using my little amount that is left from my depleted savings to avoid the degragation of claiming benefits so therefor have no way of paying for a taxi or the £1 per mile asked for by the horder centre transport dept as I live 22 miles round trip. I was so embarassed having to plead for this service twice as a service .. So for the fourth appointment I asked for a late appointment to enable me to take a bus and train so therefor only having to pay to be picked up and taken back to the staion.. As this was a foot operation resulting in having to use crutches I could not walk to and back the mile from the bus as I did for the first appointment . If I have to have surgery again it is with great regret and sadness that I would have to consider leaving the horder centre out of my choices because of the transport problem.
"a shame"
