"Great service"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Infectious Diseases NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as other),

Had to call 111 this morning as my partner was very ill .  I did not wait long for it to be answered and a very helpful person took the details and put me through to the triage nurse.  They were very helpful, listened to what I was saying, then once finished arranged a ambulance to come.

We did not have long to wait and my partner was taken to A&E and seen very quickly.  The  staff could not do enough to help and explained what was happening and what they were doing to help him.

After a few hours in A&E he was sent to ward 111 and staff there have all been wonderful and very helpful as well.

Keep up the great work

Dear Dgfabz

I'm so sorry to learn your partner was unwell and required to be transported by ambulance to hospital. This sounds like a worrying time for you both. I hope your partner is doing well.

It's kind of you to take the time to thank the staff involved in caring for your partner. They all sound as though they did an amazing job in arranging care quickly and in keeping you both updated, which is hugely reassuring. I'm sure my colleagues within NHS Grampian and the Scottish Ambulance Service will be delight to see your feedback too.

I reply specifically in relation to your call to 111. It's great to see you feel our staff were helpful and you felt listening to. It would be great to share you kind feedback with the staff involved, therefore, when you feel able to, perhaps you could contact me directly with some additional detail. You can call me on 07814 299944 or email Patient.Experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk

Thanks again and I hope to hear from you further.

Best wishes to you both.

Shona
