My mum died of lung cancer April this year after a treatment of radiotherapy and a year long battle. I used to go round for a brew and a fag 3 or more times a day but now my smoking partner had died what could I do to help myself. 5 times I tried to quit and x5 times I failed but this was different. I felt ready, to quit, nervous but determined.
Well now 6 weeks later I am smoke free. I used patches and after some wobbles at the beginning with them not sticking I got into a routine. I feel so proud of myself. It's been hard but after 3 weeks it's got easier then by the time my 3rd patch was due I'd done it only had it on a week but felt ok to just let it go.
I'm ok I'm sad and grieving but I finally did it xx
Thanks to Dave my cessation chappy for his weekly support xxx
