"They truly know how to light up her wee face."

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Blossom Ward (Paediatrics)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

We have been in the SSPAU for a two days now as my daughter was quite unwell so we came here. It was a long wait before she was seen but once the nurses came to her they were nothing but amazing. The way they spoke to me and my child was so lovely and caring, they made us feel so comfortable. The ward itself is quiet at the moment as there isn't a lot of patients in so were are told which is great as it allows her to get a good nights sleep. My daughter finds the bed very comfortable and the blinds are great for keeping the light out for when she takes a nap during the day.

Its also kept very clean and we have a lot of space in here.

I really cant emphasize how much of a credit they are, they told us that if I am stuck with anything or unsure of something to give them a call which is great as it provides me with some comfort knowing that they are a phone call away to help me with anything. One thing now that she is leaving that she will miss is the chocolate cookies that the nurses have been bringing to her! They truly know how to light up her wee face.
She's doing very well at the moment and we have just been told that we are discharged which is great as she is looking forward to get back to seeing here brother and sister now. Thank you blossom team.
