"The work that they do is truly inspirational"

About: Victoria Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a relative),

My partner and fiancee of three years was diagnosed and admitted to the ICU at the Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy with sepsis at the start of may. She spent a gruelling 12 days fighting, but sadly passed away from complications. The entire team were exceptional they cared for my lass with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect. I was allowed to be with her right to the very end and was cared for as if I was a patient. The loss of a spouse is a unique experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone but the ICU team eased that journey a little. I know they probably hear it day after day but I genuinely believe they gave her the best possible care and that the work that they do is truly inspirational. Thank you.
