"Deep gratitude for their kindness and care to me"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency Control South West Acute Hospital / Critical Care South West Acute Hospital / Emergency Care and Medicine Services South West Acute Hospital / Stroke Services

(as the patient),

From the time that the Emergency Number was dialled my treatment can only be described as superb.

I am very grateful to the Operator who dealt so professionally with the call.  Though I live in a remote rural area the ambulance arrived swiftly and after treating me at home transported me to A & E at the South West Acute Hospital.

Due to the timely treatment I received in A & E, the Critical Care Unit and Ward 5 I have made a full recovery.  Each and every member of staff in SWAH who looked after me can only be described as highly professional and a credit to the hospital.

I wish to express my deep gratitude for their kindness and care to me.

Good afternoon Dermot234

Thank you for taking the time to share your valued feedback. We are always grateful to those who share their experiences of the services they have received. It was encouraging to discover the professionalism of the call handler who guided with assistance until the arrival of the paramedics to your location for treatment; in addition to making your journey to the emergency department at SWAH as comfortable as possible. Feedback such as this lifts the morale of the paramedics involved in what is a particularly challenging period.

I wish you the best with your recuperation.

Ruairi Cummings
