"Disgusted and let down"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

Anyone who is waiting to be seen by this department at this hospital would better not hold their breath. After being referred by my GP 15 months ago after MRI brain scan results showing 3 things to be concerned , I had a letter saying that I have been removed from the neuro patient list because they had non functional telephone numbers for me for a telephone appointment that was to happen 45 days ago. The original letter to announce the telephone call had no indication whatsoever of what department etc. this was from.  I was/am with a few departments/hospitals for recent surgery etc. so I thought it was maybe another consultation.

The secretary only just typed the voice dictation 45 days later to tell me this. Yet they can send a letter.  Why not rearrange or discuss connection? After hearing the awful stories on here about telephone calls and consultations, with nonchalant, rude and dismissive consultants I have decided I will seek another Neurologist.

I do hope the patients affected here will find better care elsewhere.
