"Hospital cancer care"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

(as the patient),

I must put on record my thanks for the speed and professionalism by the surgeon and team in maxifacial dept of ARI Aberdeen.

From initial consultation to diagnosis and surgery (all in 12weeks) I could not have had any better care. As this was my second diagnosis of cancer it was a blow so say it mildly but as they have caught this tumour in my tongue early my current diagnosis is all clear. Regular check check ups now prevail.

My previous care in the same hospital with the prostate cancer team was also excellent.

I will be forever grateful to the doctors and staff for my treatment over the years.

Good morning Deeside 48,

It would like to begin by saying I am very sorry to hear that you have had a second cancer diagnosis. I understand this must have been very difficult for you.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback of the department and team. It is lovely to receive such a response. As the Senior Charge Nurse for the department it is very reassuring to hear you have received the care we strive to deliver.

It is great news regarding your current diagnosis. Please let us know if there is anything we can do during your regular visits to the department.

Once again thank you, and I will feed this back to all the team.
