When I broke my ankle at the end of May I was taken to North Devon District Hospital out patients were I remained all day. I was very well cared for, the dislocation was sorted quite quickly and I was given pain relief, had x rays and scans and in the early evening taken to Glossop ward where I had a quite room and caring nurses.
I broke and dislocated my ankle. My op was done the next morning with pins and a plate being put in so was quite a lengthy op.
I was taken back to Glossop ward where I stayed for three days. All the staff were, kind, caring and helpful, not just to me to all the ladies in my bay, particularly one that kept wandering and had to be fed as she was to vague to remember to do it. They were most patient and supportive of us all.
Food was reasonable.
Physiotherapy were extremely helpful and gave me the aids I needed and teaching me how to use them and get up steps.
I have not had a stay in hospital since my daughter was born over 40 years ago and I was not looking forward to it but in fact it was a very positive supportive experience
I am so grateful for the care attention, great surgery and aftercare that I have received
My recent visit at South Molton Hospital for physiotherapy today was excellent! Supportive, encouraging, great advice and approachable friendly trustworthy physiotherapist, Peter, many thanks to him!
"Grateful for the care attention, great surgery and aftercare"
