About: Fife Community Services / Community Cardiac Specialist Service Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiology & Coronary Care Unit Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiothoracic Surgery Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I attended sessions with Rosie and her team following a quadruple bypass in January. I found the programme very helpful and Rosie and the whole team were very approachable, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. I gained more confidence and felt very supported.

I also met with Lynne. Again she was very helpful, knowledgeable and supportive.

My only disappointment is that I didn’t manage to have any contact with Lynne earlier. I feel that I perhaps wouldn’t have struggled as much in the first 6 weeks after surgery if I’d managed to access the support sooner.

Overall my care in the cardiac unit at the Victoria hospital and Edinburgh Royal was excellent and I am very grateful to all the staff who cared for me.
