I had a fall in June this year and was admitted to the RAH Paisley. The paramedics who came first were very professional, caring and understanding of the pain I was in.
When I arrived at hospital and my only complaint would be the length of time they had to stay with me before handing over. I now understand why the is such a wait time for ambulances as through not fault of them they have to wait maybe new system here could be introduced where quicker handover would free up the ambulances and staff. After a lengthy wait finally seen the doctor and was diagnosed with a broken hip. I was operated on the next morning and I was admitted to Ward 23 and the staff were amazing.
A particular thanks to all the nurses especially Sharon who made me laugh so much even in my great discomfort. Her care and compassion knows no bounds. Also special thanks to Jennifer, Roxie, Donna and Rae as well as all the others. The health care assistants were also second to none with their helpfulness and kindness. A special thanks also the Miss Julie for undertaking my operation very successfully. People are all too quick to condemn our health service but I can say with what these people have to endure on a daily basis they all deserve a large pay rise. Everyone on the ward was treated exactly the same with care, compassion, dignity and respect.
