"Excellent care"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / General Surgery

(as a relative),

My husband recently amputated his big toe with a lawn mower.

I would like to thank all the staff involved in his care, skill and expertise by the surgeon who reattached the toe. Excellent inpatient and outpatient care has meant that he now has full use of the toe.

Having just moved from South Wales we have been amazed by the excellent local facilities, prompt communications, well run clinics and high standards of care from all staff involved.

Dear bereaved family,

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion with us. I am delighted to hear that you found the care to be of such a high standard at at time which was undoubtedly traumatic for both your husband and yourself.

I will ensure that your kind feedback is shared with the teams involved in your husband's care, and I have no doubt that they will delighted to learn of your experience.

I hope that your husband's recovery is continuing to go well, and I send him best wishes for the future. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your story,

kind regards

Alexis
