Anything else?
I am 17 and expecting my first baby, I was sent from sure start by my midwife to triage because baby's heart beat was too fast. I was left for half an hour to worry until finally seen and put on the monitor, her heart rate was very high still and they simply said "go for a walk and come back in 20 minutes ". I did so and then when I got put back on the monitor after another half hour wait her heart rate was even higher, she was ranging from 170-200 instead of 110-160. As this is my first child I am very worried and nervous and I told the midwife this but I just got brushed off and ignored and the patient opposite me got all the attention, I felt very stupid and as if I was wrong for being worried. I was sent home with my daughters heart rate still fast and after 7 hours monitoring and only a 25 Minuite of normal heart rate off her I was sent home even more worried about what could be making her heart race like that. I will be going to another hospital for a second opinion and will be looking into transferring as I am really not happy with how I was treated! I was treated like a little girl.
