I travel to Boston for chemotherapy treatment, which is an hour. Lincoln is also an hour but I prefer Boston. All the staff are wonderful at both places. Appt was at 10:00am but this time the chemotherapy had not been delivered. Still not arrived at 12:30. I waited and was eventually asked by staff what I wanted to do. I felt for them as they could do nothing but were reliant on the delivery.
Because of the travel time to Louth, I had no way of getting home until my husband came at 5:00pm and the need for the treatment I opted to stay. Two nurses very kindly stayed beyond the time of the unit closing at 6:00pm and my treatment ended at about 6:30pm. I am very grateful to Nurses Claire and Chantelle. The delay in delivery was upsetting at the time and I am grateful to all the staff in the unit that day.
