Following an A&E visit, I was called back to Ambulatory Care for a series of tests related to a series of undiagnosed episodes of irregular heartbeat. The advanced practitioner nurse, Julie, who oversaw my care throughout the day was impressive in her role. Julie was thorough, personable, professional and caring. She took time to explain each procedure to me and to answer any questions that I had. Her skill in all aspects of her role on the day was evident. It was evident  throughout that that her approach is exemplary: professional, patient- centred care.
