"CT Scanning"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Clinical Imaging

(as the patient),

I attended the scanning department for an appointment quite late in the day. Soon after my arrival the Receptionist went home which made me feel a bit worried that I had been forgotten. I was also worried because I needed to use the bathroom but couldn't go in case someone came to look for me to take me in for my scan. There didn't seem to be anyone else around that I could tell as everyone seemed to be behind closed doors.

My appointment was running late, but because there was no reception or Wi-Fi in the department, I was unable to let my partner what was going on and if they came looking for me there wouldn't have been anyone there to tell them where I was.

When I finally had my scan, the staff were very attentive as always.

Dear horologiumgh94

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you on here.

I am sorry to see that you didn't have a positive experience before you appointment, that you felt you were forgotten about and that there wasn't Wi-Fi available for you to contact your partner. I am pleased that, when it came to your appointment, the staff you encountered were attentive.

I am writing to you as a member of the Patient Experience team but I will forward your feedback onto the Clinical Imaging team.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

Thank you

Megan
