I am in my seventies and fell on black ice in December 2022, resulting in a fracture of my upper right humerus. The fracture was confirmed at West Cornwall Hospital, and I then had two subsequent visits to the fracture clinic at Treliske. I was referred for physiotherapy at St. Michael's Hospital, Hayle, where I met and was treated by Harry. I had several visits and Harry slowly but surely got my arm working again with a series of exercises starting with the lifting, swinging etc, of a walking stick.
I had previously been doing pendulum movements as advised by the fracture clinic. Harry progressed me through "elastic band" exercises and I was discharged at the end of May, being fully able to move my arm.
Harry was patient and friendly from the start and was always interested in how I felt about the exercises. I am very pleased with my treatment.
"I am very pleased with my treatment."
