To the Chief Executive and teams at Wexham Park Hospital. A&E and Ward 1 Orthopaedics and Trauma and Hip units. Female. Dear Sir, I have written to your teams in the past, I had over 2 weeks treatment in 2012 and was very impressed by the quality of care and treatment I received while a patient in your hospital [ as well as being admitted as an emergency case ] - I made a full recovery from a very difficult condition and along with follow up treatment in High Wycombe and district nurses, owe this to your teams. My wife was treated in A&E last week, she was admitted at about 20.00 on the 21st July with a hideous broken wrist and chipped ankle. Your A&E team were truly exceptional under very difficult circumstances. The unit was very very busy with what appeared to be very serious cases. We fully understood, thanks to clear communication, that we had to be left for a while and that the treatment my wife needed would be delayed due to more urgent and severe cases. We had no issues with this as the staff were so considerate and attentive. We were seen quickly in the first instance and reassured that the situation was being carefully monitored and appropriate action established. My wife was kept in and had a lengthy operation on Monday 22nd July, following difficult but well executed emergency measures in A&E. The treatment and care from the consultant and his team was first class and all the nursing staff on his ward gave nursing support of the highest quality. I would be grateful if you pass this message on to all the relevant teams and would like you to know that my wife and I hold all of your staff, at all levels, in the highest regard and feel indebted to them for the quality of care and treatment. I hope that this feedback may go some way to lifting the spirits of all concerned when they are under huge pressure looking after our communities. Yours Jean Pierre Vuarnoz and Julie Vuarnoz
