After suffering persistent headaches our 9 year old daughter was refered to Dr Beattie, Consultant Paediatrician with NHS Lanarkshire.
We met with Dr Beattie for an initial consultation and could not have been more impressed with the manner he treated our little girl. His approach was gentle, kind and respectful. He directed his questions to our daughter, making her feel valued and heard. After leaving our appointment out daughter told us, "The doctor really listened to me. He was interested in what I had to say. That's what makes a good doctor!".
Dr Beattie timeously organised follow up investigations, prescribed medication and liaised with our GP before following up with a telephone consultation. He ensured that everything he said would happen did. He offered excellent reassurance to us, as parents and we can't thank him enough.
Our 9 year old daughter is right - he really is one of the good ones!
